Transparent pricing
Last update: November 3, 2026
An item has one price. Depending on where you buy it, the costs are either already included or shown to you separately. It is not two prices: it is the same one, whole or itemised.
Where you buy and how you see it
- eBay: all-inclusive
A single price in US dollars with free shipping, because eBay does not allow it to be broken down. It includes the item, international shipping, prepaid import duties, customs handling and eBay's fee. - Our website: itemised
You see the item's price and, at checkout, each cost on its own line. You only pay the ones that apply to your shipment, and you don't pay eBay's fee.
What you pay extra on eBay is the marketplace fee and the costs eBay requires to be folded into a single price. Our commission is the same in both places: 15% on the item and on the duties we prepay for you.
What each cost is and who charges it
- Shipping
The postage for the parcel from Japan. Charged by the carrier (Japan Post or DHL). - Import taxes (VAT, duties)
Charged by your country's customs. You can pay them on delivery or prepay them at checkout. If you prepay, we advance them for you: the amount is an estimate and carries our 15% commission, the same as the item. - Customs handling
Charged by whoever processes the customs prepayment: Zonos with Japan Post, or DHL with its own service. It only applies if you choose to prepay customs. - Payment processing
The payment processor's fee on shipping and customs, which only pass through us. - eBay fee
What eBay charges for each sale on its marketplace. It is only in the eBay price; it does not exist on our website. - Deliveries in Japan
If you receive or collect your order in Japan, Japanese consumption tax (消費税) is added. Shipments outside Japan do not carry it.
Exact amounts are calculated at checkout for your country and your parcel, before you confirm. Anything estimated is marked as such.
